Funny but Sad

Funny how $50 "looks" so big when you take it to church, but so small when you take it to the market.

Funny how long it takes to serve God for an hour, but how quickly a team plays 60 minutes of basketball.

Funny how long a couple of hours spent at church is, but how short they are when watching a movie.

Funny how we can't think of anything to say when we pray, but don't have difficulty thinking of things to talk about to a friend.

Funny how we get thrilled when a baseball game goes into extra innings, but we complain when a sermon is longer than the regular time.

Funny how hard it is to read a chapter in the bible, but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a best selling novel.

Funny how people want to get a front seat at any game or concert, but scramble to get a back seat at church services.

Funny how we need 2 or 3 weeks advance notice to fit a church event into our schedule, but can adjust our schedule for other events at the last moment.

Funny how hard it is for people to learn a simple gospel well enough to tell others, but how simple it is for the same people to understand and repeat gossip.

Funny how we believe what the newspaper say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have to believe, or to think, or to say, or do anything.

Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.

FUNNY, ISN'T IT?
Are you laughing?
Are you thinking?
Wait there's more!

Isn't it funny how everybody thinks that, when they die, they are automatically going to heaven but, they don't want to live right, question the very existence of Jesus Christ, claim to be "saved" but don't know nothing about what being "saved" really means, and don't want anybody on their job or other organizations they are affiliated with to know they are "saved."

Isn't it funny when people say they are "saved" and love the Lord, but they get upset with another Christian when he/she tries to talk to them about the Lord or going to church or staying in their "Word" or they don't want to watch or hear anything about the gospel on TV or the radio--anywhere, anytime.

Isn't it funny when a person who is living a life of sin says, "Well, I am going to get my life right first, then, when I turn such and such age, I will get "saved" or they might say, "Well, I am going to do all the partying I can and just live it up the best way I know, however that may be, then when I decide to get my life right, I'll get "saved".

Isn't it funny how you have people who don't believe in Jesus Christ, yet they are the first ones who want you to pray for them when some major crisis is happening in their life.

Isn't it funny when you have people who claim to be atheist or agnostics, yet these very same people will, without a second thought (or unwittingly), say aloud, "Oh my God" or "Jesus Christ" when they receive some shocking news about something negative in their life, or if they are suddenly surprised in their life by something that is incredible for them to behold! Also, isn't it funny when you have people who come to church when they feel like it--as if they're doing God a favor, yet when they are experiencing problems you don't see them at all!

Isn't it funny when you have people, who despite the fact they're not praying everyday, not reading their bible and not committed to nothing (for Christ) at all and say they are Christians act as though they have an biblical answer for your problems, yet these same people don't want to hear what you have to say if you go to the scriptures about a problem they may be having.

Isn't it funny when you have people who claim to be Christians and act one way around other Christians or "put on their church face" at church, yet when they get out of church or around other people who are not Christians, they act the complete opposite—like the devil himself!

Isn't it funny when you have people who haven't attended the church they are members of in months (for whatever reason), then, all of a sudden out of the thin air, they show up and act as though the church owes them something, like they're God's gift to the world and want everyone at church to look at them. Also, isn't it funny when you have these pretenders (of the faith) who go around wearing a cross around their neck, acting like they are all good and righteous and trying to give people the impression that they believe in Jesus Christ and they are heaven bound, but they are so full of sin they should already "know" where they're "bound for."

THIS IS ALL SO FUNNY ISN'T IT?
Something to wonder about isn't it?
Spread the Word and give thanks to the Lord for He is an awesome God!
Pass this on to people you know (and don't know) so they will come to "know Him"
